IPL Photofacial

Intense Pulse Light (IPL) therapy is one of the most beneficial and yet quick and easy treatments in aesthetics today. A long-time favorite of your ModernArt practitioners, IPL uses non-ablative, non-invasive, high-intensity pulses of energy from a visible light source to target damaged skin, shrink pores, and stimulate collagen production. While it may look like one, IPL is not actually a laser. Laser is a condensed beam of highly focused energy at a specific wavelength, whereas IPL is a broad spectrum of light at various wavelengths, scattered deep into the dermal layer of your skin, bypassing the very top, epidermal layer. For this reason, IPL carries less risk of burning and scarring than lasers, targets more conditions at once than lasers can, and is much faster and less painful than laser because of its large spot size. ModernArt MedSpa & Salon is dedicated to the principles of safety and practicality. We prefer treatments that don’t interrupt our busy lives and most importantly don’t cause more harm than they cure, as we have seen with so many more aggressive and often dangerous laser resurfacing devices.

Many patients choose IPL as a first line approach to combating unsightly brown spots, broken capillaries, sunspots, rosacea, and even acne. There is literally no downtime and the entire treatment takes under 20 minutes. Make-up can be applied before even leaving the office, and other than wearing sun protection, no special post-treatment instructions must be followed. Dramatic results can often be seen after the first treatment, but a series of 3 to 6 IPL sessions a few weeks apart is recommended.

*Consultations are always FREE and can be done in under 20 minutes. Pricing will vary based on an individual’s body shape, size, and goals. For this reason, quotes cannot be given over the phone, although we strive to be extremely competitive and fair in our pricing.
