Amanda DeWysocki, RN, Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, Owner/Manager
Amanda began her nursing career in 2006, working in the Intensive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Hospital. She completed extensive post-graduate work in nursing and nurse anesthesia. Her clinical background serves as a foundation for all that she does in the field of aesthetics. Patient safety is her number one priority and she respects her scope of practice with everything she does. Amanda works under strict protocols developed by board certified plastic surgeons and advocates for others in her profession to respect the limitations of Aesthetic Nursing and never work outside the scope of practice for nurses. Amanda holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and Arizona State University. Her aesthetic training is always on-going and she holds numerous certifications in advanced injection techniques and aesthetic procedures. She has worked and trained along side renowned plastic surgeons in the LA area and she currently serves as an adjunct clinical instructor for the National Laser Institute.
While Amanda certainly respects the science and the clinical nature of the treatments she offers, she considers what she does much more of an art than anything else. She sees every face as a unique canvas with different genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors to consider, and treats everyone according to their individual concerns and with the utmost respect for their own aesthetic preference. She is not in the business of creating cookie-cutter faces or of telling anyone how they “ought to” look. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and Amanda seeks only to improve self-esteem and give her clients what they want, not what she wants. She prides herself on being able to make subtle changes that create significant improvements without looking “done”. This comes from years of experience and studying faces almost obsessively. She has an ability to see where the slightest tweak or enhancement would make the most beautiful improvement without anyone knowing what has changed. The feedback she loves hearing the most is when her clients say they just look refreshed, lifted, and more awake, but none of their friends can quite figure out why 😉
