So how does it work?
During a Coolsculpting treatment, suction is applied to the problem area and the fatty tissue is exposed to cold plates inside the suction head for a period of 60 minutes. There is a minimal amount of discomfort during the initial 5-10 minutes as a result of the suction, after which time the area just feels cool and/or numb, and clients are comfortable enough to take a nap or watch a movie for the remainder of the treatment. No anesthetic is required, and no special preparation is necessary. Depending on the shape and size of the treatment area, this 60 minute process may be repeated one or more times in succession, and other body areas may be treated on the same day. Currently we are able to treat the abdomen, sides (“love handles”), flanks, back, inner and outer thighs, arms, submental fat (double chin), knees, and axillary fat (armpit). After your treatment there are no special instructions to follow and you may go back to your regular activities immediately. Some clients experience soreness or tenderness at the area that can last from hours to weeks, and this typically resolves on its own without any treatment. The area will be slightly red immediately after your treatment. Mild bruising is occasionally reported, as is numbness and tingling. These are all temporary side effects and resolve quickly.
